Hi, I'm Lauren VanDame.
Photography to me is much more than just showing up on a day and taking pictures. It’s meeting people, wherever they are, and documenting them as they are. It’s about giving a permanence to feelings from a moment in time. It’s what I believe my Creator called me to do before I was even born.
Slowness and intentionality have always spoken to my soul. In a world where everyone is moving from one thing to the next, documenting other's stories is a way for me to pause and create purposefully — to show people their love from a fresh perspective.
Over the past 8+ years, my passion for documentary wedding photography in Colorado has led me to some of the most incredible places in this state and around the world. I’ve also had the privilege of meeting new people, and it has further opened my eyes to how everyone has an extraordinary story waiting to be told. Let's tell the world yours together.

I work best with those who value people, meaningful places, and adventures over Pinterest-perfect details. If your idea of a perfect day is an intimate backyard wedding in Denver, Colorado, I’m there. If the thought of eloping barefoot underneath a desert sky with 10 of your favorite people makes you giddy, we’ll be great friends.

I approach each story with the intent of capturing all the surrounding details and feelings that make it unique. I’m not here to capture perfect poses, I’m here to document your day. This means getting to know who you are as a person and as a couple when we start to work together. In turn, I want you to get to know who I am and how I create. Behind my best work are couples who trust me completely and who embrace the vulnerability that comes with inviting me to document your story.
