Kally and Mike were among the first couples to have their Boulder, Colorado wedding at the Simon. Their colorful Colorado day reflected their relationship—full of joy and life. The Simon provided the perfect blank slate for their color filled vision to come to fruition. While the venue is right in the heart of a bustling downtown street, it is a five minute drive from mountain views. The outdoors were something that was important for Kally and Mike to incorporate. They truly experienced the best of both worlds, combining a funky, fresh industrial ceremony and reception with the most beautiful mountain backdrop for portraits.
Kally and Mike chose an out-of-the-box color palette full of yellows, oranges, pinks and reds. It was the perfect combination for a hot August day. Everything from the bridesmaids dresses to the streamer send off incorporated these colors. One of my favorite ways they added color was through their ceremony florals. The focus of the ceremony space was a stunning gradient installation designed by Mother Maria Flower Company. It truly captivated the guests entering the room. Many people stopped to take photos of the installation themselves!
Any couple who wants to try a bold color palette on their day but is afraid of the outcome might find inspiration in Kally and Mike’s Boulder, Colorado wedding at The Simon. The joy and magic of bold colors can truly enhance a wedding day!
