I had the honor of documenting Marian and Nick’s stunning catholic wedding ceremony and reception at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. Marian and I played soccer together way back in middle school and had lost touch over the years. I couldn’t have been more honored when she reached out to me about photographing her wedding. Their fall engagement session was one of my favorites last year, and I had so much fun reconnecting with her and meeting Nick!

These two are thoughtful, intentional, laid-back, and love their people so well. Their day perfectly exhibited these characteristics.

I started the day documenting Marian and her girls at a hotel in Alpharetta. They shared the most special first look and moments together before the ceremony. Nick and his guys got ready at The Wildflower Barn where his groomsmen prayed over him.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Roswell, Georgia. Nick and Marian chose not to do a first look, and the moment of her walking down the aisle was one of my favorites of the entire day. The couple shared communion and listened to scripture read by some of their closest family and friends.

After the ceremony, we headed to the Wildflower Barn at Little River where I took their just married portraits as the sun sank below the trees. Some of my favorite images were taken in a patch of yellow wildflowers right next to a parking lot—summer love at its best.

After dinner, speeches, and a little partying, they shared a final dance together alone while their guests lined up for the send-off. The day could not have ended more perfectly.

It’s days like Marian + Nick’s that remind me why I love doing what I do. I’m forever grateful to them for inviting me into their story!
