The summer of 2021 I stumbled upon the Wyman Hotel in the charming mountain town of Silverton, Colorado. Immediately after stepping into the lobby, I knew I had to photograph an elopement or intimate wedding there some day. The space was a perfect combination of modern luxury and rustic mountain charm. Being a designer, I immediately fell in love with the unique branding and rich colors and textures that filled the interior of the hotel.

Flash forward to summer of 2022, and I planned a trip out to Colorado with the intention of putting together a styled elopement at my new favorite boutique hotel. I had a vision that would play off the minimal yet luxurious elements of the interior while bringing in touches of western Americana.

After months of planning, it was truly incredible to see this styled elopement at the Wyman hotel come to life. The couple, Holly and Jack, were from Silverton and had lived there most of their lives. It was truly the best getting to know them and get a better glimpse into life in a small mountain town. Holly owns the best coffee shop in Silverton (maybe in Colorado), The Coffee Bear, which I highly recommend visiting if you are ever visiting the town! Jack leads hiking trips in the area—truly one of the most stunning parts of the country. Capturing the love these two share was something I’ll never forget. They are the kind of people that feel like home, and have the biggest hearts (and smiles).

The morning of the shoot began with Holly getting ready in one of the beautiful, luxury suites at the Wyman. Her modern NEWHITE satin gown featured clean lines and off-the-shoulder sleeves. After getting ready, she shared the sweetest first look with Jack right outside of the hotel. We then took portraits in the picturesque courtyard surrounded by the San Juan mountains. At this point it started to rain, but this didn’t stop the two from sharing ice cream together while waving to their family and friends passing by the hotel. After some more portraits in front of the Wyman, we headed inside as the rain got heavier for some late afternoon drinks and photos in the lobby. The evening ended with some fun flash photos in an upstairs suite while the couple shared a private champagne toast.

The most incredible vendor team came alongside me and helped bring my vision for this Wyman hotel elopement to life. Below is everyone who helped share a role in putting it together:

Venue: The Wyman Hotel // Planner: Ramblin’ Rose Weddings and Events // Florist: Adela Floral // Dress: Rent the Dress CT; NEWHITE // Tablescape: Durango Picnic Co // Invitation Suite: Sal Studios // Hair and Makeup: Hair by Kawii // Dessert: Rosebud Ice Cream
