Taitt and John transformed The Logan Farm House in Acworth into the most magical, charming space for their intimate North Georgia wedding celebration. The Lewis’ vision for their day was a cozy backyard party with their closest family and friends—and that’s exactly what it was. Taitt and John officially sealed the deal in an intimate ceremony at their church the day before. With no ceremony to get ready for, their day was simply a time for them to be present with each other and their people.
Laughter filled the farm house on the rainy October morning as the entire bridal party got ready together. I captured all of Taitt’s beautiful details, including her custom gown and cape by Madi Lane Bridal (swoon!). Since Taitt opted for a different dress for her church ceremony, the two did a first look so John could see her dream gown on her for the first time. After their first look, they shared intimate vows under an old oak tree as the rain slowly started to come.
There was really no timeline for the day, which created a relaxed and stress free environment—whatever happened, happened! Initially, Taitt had planned to have the reception outside, but because of the weather it had to be moved indoors. Upon seeing the reception space for the first time, I couldn’t have dreamed up a more cozy, intimate space. The couple shared a meal and toasts with 50 of their closest people while the rain came down outside. After cake cutting and first dances came my favorite part of the day—a halloween hour complete with snacks, costumes, and 70’s and 80’s spooky bops.
It was such an honor to document this intimate North Georgia wedding celebration for these two—especially considering Taitt is a photographer herself! It was Halloween weekend I will never forget!
